Interior Finish-outs / Rehabs

Interior finish-outs involve the final stages of construction that transform a building’s interior from a raw or unfinished state into a completed and functional space. This process can apply to various types of structures.

1. Demolition and Preparation:

  • Clear out any existing fixtures, debris, and unwanted materials from the space.
  • Address any necessary structural repairs or modifications before beginning the finishing process.

2. Framing and Drywall Installation:

  • Construct or modify interior walls, partitions, and ceilings as needed.
  • Install drywall to create a smooth and even surface for painting or other finishes.

3. Electrical and Plumbing Work:

  • Install or modify electrical wiring, outlets, switches, and fixtures according to the design and functional requirements.
  • Address plumbing needs, including sinks, toilets, showers, and other fixtures.

4. HVAC Installation:

  • Install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to regulate temperature and air quality.

5. Insulation

  • Apply insulation materials to walls, ceilings, and floors to improve energy efficiency and comfort.

6. Flooring and Ceiling Finishes:

  • Install flooring materials like hardwood, tile, carpet, or laminate.
  • Apply finishes to ceilings, such as paint, tiles, or paneling.

7. Painting and Wall Finishes:

  • Paint walls, trim, and other surfaces according to the chosen color scheme.
  • Apply any specialized wall finishes, such as wallpaper, texture, or decorative treatments.

8. Cabinetry and Millwork:

  • Install built-in cabinets, shelves, and other custom millwork to provide storage and functional elements.

9. Fixture and Appliance Installation:

  • Place and connect light fixtures, faucets, sinks, appliances, and other fixtures according to the design plan.

10. Final Touches and Details:

  • Install hardware, such as doorknobs, handles, and other finishing touches.
  • Address any remaining punch list items, which are small details or corrections that need to be completed before final approval.

11. Punch List and Final Touches:

  • After inspections, any remaining tasks or corrections will be addressed. This could involve minor touch-ups, adjustments, or installations.

12. Handover and Occupancy:

  • Once all inspections and approvals are obtained, the finished space can be handed over to the owner for use and enjoyment.
